Recovery Residence Association (RRA) (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website rrasd.org (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling any personal information we collect with care and transparency.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Information You Provide to Us

When you interact with the Site, you may choose to provide personal information, such as:

– Contact information (name, email address, organization, job title) when you subscribe to our newsletter, submit a contact form, or inquire about our programs
– Communication content when you email us or fill out a form on the Site

We only collect information that you voluntarily provide.

We share aggregate, anonymous traffic data (such as total page visits, referral sources, and high-level audience demographics) with our funders and partner organizations as part of our reporting obligations. This data does not identify individual visitors.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CHIP, our users, or others.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. Newsletter subscribers remain on our list until they unsubscribe. Contact form submissions are retained as long as useful for follow-up and record-keeping.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for adults, such as parents, caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, and community partners working on childhood health issues. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at chipinfo@sdchip.org and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information. These rights include:

– Right to Know — You may request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, and share.
– Right to Delete — You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
– Right to Correct — You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
– Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing — We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
– Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

In particular, RRA uses the following external services that you may be directed to from our Site:

– PayPal — Donations and payments. If you make a donation or payment, your financial information is collected and processed by PayPal under their own privacy policy.
